The newest adventures!

The girls have started school already. Allie in green is in the 1st grade and she loves it. She's already made great progress in the 3 weeks of school so far. She is reading alot better and is making alot of friends! Rylee in the pink is in the 2nd grade and she too is loving her school and the ability to have friends to play with! It's a different pace then it was last year when we lived in the middle of nowhere and their closest friends were woodland creatures. She is doing very well at her math and reading and told me on day two of school that, "being a second grader is hard mom."

This is Bella...aka Bells...aka smells...aka hells bells when she gets into stuff. She is the newest addition to our family. We got her last year in December, and she is totally a kids dog. The kids lay on her and wrestle with her. She follows the kids everywhere and where we lived in the woods she was also my little guard for the kids while they were tromping around.

So like I've said before, I'm a little behind on my blogging. Also, I'm not familiar with how this posting system works, so the pictures are a little out of order. This is Allie's 6th birthday party at Grandma's house. She made out like a bandet. She is into those Lalaloopsy dolls, so she was pretty excited to get some.

The cake. Barbie fairy theme

The birthday girl.

This was Xander's 4th birthday party ALSO at Grandma's house. He had an all over the place themed birthday party. Thomas the train cake, Toystory decor and Cars toys.

Here is our new humble abode. We have only been here a month, but it feels like home! It's cheap especially on a college budget and it's close to Isaac's school and the kids' school. It's a nice little neighborhood after you drive past the scary ghetto part of this area. There is a dog park just on the other side of the road, so Bells can run and play.

Isaac and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary this year. We went to Wolf Lodge then to Transformers 3D. It wasn't much, but it was very fun and we had a great time being goofy together! I am ready for eternity with him. The years just keep getting better as we go, mostly because we can make it through the rough times eaiser together. We know how to make eachother laugh and we still can't keep our hands off eachother. Being in love with your best friend is the best thing in life!!!!

This was Xander outside of the girls' classrooms on the first day of school. He didn't want his picture taken, so that's why he's pouting.

So, as some people know my husband Isaac has now gone back to school after 15 years of working in construction. He is only in his first month of his first semester of his first year, so we have a while to go. He is going for his civil engineering degree followed by a degree in structual engineering. I am so proud of him and the changes that he's made over the last 2 years. We have had major ups and downs, but somehow we've made it out together and more as a team and in love than ever. We cannot thank our Heavenly Father enough for the blessings and guidence He's given our family. We wouldn't be here without him!

This is all the things I have to share so far. I'll soon start up with my craft projects as soon as I get settled in to a good routine with my family!!

Our new start

Well, it's been about a year since I've blogged or even went to this site. I'm back and hope to blog about everything that is going on in our lives at the moment! If no one ever reads this at least it's a journal about me and my family mixed with some craft projects I have invented. Thanks for viewing....let's get started!

May 26, 2010

Okay, so I haven't been very good at updating my blog so this is going to be a long post. Since being let go at work I have taken on the role as stay at home mom, and let me tell you, it's tougher than I thought. I feel my children gather together at night to see how far we can push my patience each day. I wait till my oldest Rylee heads to school at 11:30 and I gather the other 2 critters and we head to the gym. I find myself needing the gym more often due to me testing out my cooking and baking skills. It would probably help if I didn't taste test them for nails all the time, but in any case I have never been more happy. I still miss my job and how fun it was, but I especially miss the people I had the honor of working with. I am happy that this summer my fat arse will be planted at the beach everyday getting a nice tan while the children run and swim out their energy.

Isaac and I at Iron Man 2. It was a good movie with a lot of action, however I did feel that Stark was a little too cocky. He should have toned that down a bit.

So to occupy my spare time I have taken to crafting. I am no where near as good or crazy as my sister, but I feel I do okay. Our loving mother blessed us with a cricut and I LOVE IT!! I does everything. My husband is leaving for the summer to work in California, so it'll be a whole new house when he gets back. I think my next adventure I want to try is learning how to decorate cakes. Not to make money, but just as a neat hobby to try. So below I have posted some of my projects. I made this board for my mother-in-law. If you can't read it it says, "Grandkids are the reward you get for not strangling your teenagers." It was very easy, I cut out the letters and flowers and then modge-podged it to the board.

I did this board for my mom. She has 5 grandkids and the sign says, "If I'd known how fun Grandkids were, I would have had them first." I didn't do very well on the placing of the hooks for the pictures, but I went to the dollar store and bought frames, then used ribbon to string up the pictures.

Just another board I did. I just painted it, then used vinyl for the other letters.

Same here

This is Allie's room. She is in love with purple as you can see. It's very cute and she loves it and is learning to keep it clean.

With this I just cut out the letters in vinyl and stuck it on the wall. I added pictures of the family

Rylee's room. Very fun and bright. I used the disney color friendly frog. She is 6 going on 25, so she keeps her room very clean and organized.

Old window frame, that I painted over and sanded. My mom gave it to me already with the word family on it, but all you'd have to do is cut it out of vinyl and put it on the glass. It was a scary shade of yellow when I got it.
So those are the things I've done lately and I am having so much fun. I recently learned how to make these amazing bracelets and watch bands. As soon as I get the watch face I will post a picture of it. They are super easy and beautiful!!
